Summary

The first-ever virtual reality game, New World.

{The time has come.}
{Synchronization starts.}

That marked the beginning of the catastrophe.
As the game became reality, the Earth began to crumble.
However, there was hope.
All-Master Jeong-hoon, who had survived until the very end, was just one step away from finishing the game.

“Gah!”

But ended up being betrayed by his comrades.

“Should I say, from the moment you said you wanted to end this game?”

The reason for their betrayal was simple, if the game ended, their power would disappear.
The moment they thought it was all over.

    Friendly reminder to my fellow readers: We’re all entitled to our opinions, and sharing feedback whether we loved the book or not so authors can improve their work and see what resonates. But let’s be real here c'mon! Throwing hate and insuls just because the author's approach didn’t meet your expectations is immature tbh. Everyone’s got their preferences, and what you dislike might be someone else’s favorite. No book is perfect, no debate that’s a fact. Readers have different preferences like flavors some crave chocolate, others avoid it like the plague. Simple as that. Ive read books from every genre under the sun. Some were a hard pass for me, but I’d never call them "bad" they’re just not my flavor. Also guys let’s not forget to give authors their due respect. They’re putting their hearts on the page, and while we might not always be on the same wavelength, trashing them and their works with hates and insults won’t help.👍

    What the heckkk, the plot twist gets me.. I don't thinks that Hoon been manipulated by James from the start. Truly marvelous. It's have element like ORV. Truly enjoy reading it. Can't wait for the new chapter and I think that Hoon will use rune of counterattack to counter the reflective skills of that d*mn transcendent.

    Just a powerfantasy. The characters aren’t very fleshed out, and the power system is alright. The mc is so powerful that he never gets into any real fights, but it’s kinda fun just seeing him snag opportunities from everybody.

    Got up to date. This is actually pretty good, although there is a lot of korean nationalist supremacy (portrayed as victims), but you can just ignore this

      Here we go again. U know, that was what I hate about Korean web novels. Same with system this system that. And same cliche plots. Can they just stick to the grey line? But no, they're always in black and white. Same with Chinese novels. Qi this, Qi that, cultivate this, cultivate that. Mountain this, mountain that... And many more tiring lines and cliche scenes. Can these Chinese authors made a unique genre? Take LOTM for example. That novel was so great that you'd fail to recognize that it was written by a Chinese.

        Sounds like this genre just isn’t your cup of tea and that’s totally fine! If LOTM is your peak experience, then ride that wave!. I’ve read LOTM, COI, and Shadow Slave too. solid-read and lots of hype but they didn’t crack my top 10. Not because I have sky-high standards but because my top 10 consist stories that i personally enjoyed the most. Books are like flavors not everything suits everyone’s taste, and that’s what makes reading fun. Forcing you kind of vibes on others is like insisting everyone to love your grandma’s secret casserole. just because it’s comforting to you doesn’t mean it won’t taste like regret to someone else. 😅✌️

        Actually I kinda agree, but it's hard looking for a novel with to read when u can't find any... I mean, I'm still looking for a novel that would root me for 4-5 months. Don't misunderstood, I've also read a lot of Korean novels with system system and some of them passed. But I've been reading since 2018, and I've noticed that they are a lot of them. And most of them are powerjunkie novels that can't even write a proper plot to accommodate the genre. But people sometimes abused these genres that it would make other novels in this genre bad. That's what I hate. Also, tbh I'm the type of reader who prefer action adventure fantasy novels with a lot of lores like SS and less metaphorical stories. But LOTM got me hyped, because of the writing style. It feels like I've drank a super sweet coffee that numbed my senses. And when I drink other coffees, I couldn't taste them anymore.

        You've a solid point. I’ve come across plenty of novels where you can’t understand a thing,so much so that calling them 'books' feels generous. A lot of them are from new writers, and some aren’t even serious authors, just people writing for fun.That said, I had a friend who wasn’t an author either but decided to give writing a shot. He got torn apart in the comments, and when I checked out his book, I had to admit the criticism wasn’t wrong. His writing was really rough, but the story itself had strong potential. He just lacked experience. Sadly, he ended up quitting and getting depressed because of all the negativity. That’s why I always believe in giving feedback that helps authors improve rather than just insulting them amd their work. Readers scroll through books so fast these days that they forget writing isn’t simple and easy. It takes time, effort, and a thick skin. A little constructive criticism can go a long way in helping someone grow instead of pushing them to give up.

        Now that u game me this point, I now feel bad. U know, sometimes the frustrations get the better of me. But thinking about in in new author's pov. Yeah... I feel... A bit dirty? 😂

        Haha, don’t feel bad! It’s totally understandable, frustrations can get to anyone. The fact that you're even considering the author's perspective now shows a lot of self awareness, and that’s what really matters. At the end of the day, constructive feedback helps everyone improve. Appreciate the open-mindedness! 😀

        Just kinda sucks that I have to be reminded just so I could think of it. Tho I do hope I can do it with my own initiative, but oh well.

        Seems like you answered your own question lol But I get where you're coming from, there truly are lots of sh*tty, dropped system novels. But, there are also great ones! And this is one that is worth reading if you have already read the other greats

    The synopsis seems similar to kill the hero, but with a game instead of irl. Literally almost the same- MC gets betrayed because the hero doesn't want to give up his power and he regresses

      Yeh I noticed that too. Could be another The Author’s POV scenario where the author got inspired by The Novel’s Extra and wrote their own version

        It's not just Korea. A lot of eastern countries are xenophobic I believe (and anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong) that alot of it stems from the Japanese-Korean conflict and the atrocities that were committed between the 2 and afterwards as shoulders returned home and as propaganda spread the countries started implementing xenophobic legislation and xenophobic sentiments started being passed down to their children and while most of that initial hatred and bigotry died down there is still a sentiment of anti-foreigners ingrained in the culture today
