Trash of the Count's Family (백작가의 망나니가 되었다) is a Korean isekai webnovel series written by Yoo Ryeo Han (유려한) in the Action, Comedy, and Fantasy genres. The novel is still ongoing though it is currently on-hiatus due to the author's family circumstances. There are currently 7 volumes, some chapters have been translated into English and translations of other chapters are in progress.

Synopsis

Beginning with the awakening of our main character, Kim Rok Soo, in a different world, he finds himself possessing the body of a minor villain inside of the novel [The Birth of a Hero]: Cale Henituse. As he tried to avoid being beaten up as in the original novel, his actions directly lead to the original plot derailing and he finds himself dragged into the center of many conflicts happening in the world.

Summary

I can't be a trash forever...

When I opened my eyes, I was inside a novel.

[The Birth of a Hero].

[The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

I became a part of that novel as the trash count (tcf), the family that oversaw the territory where the first village that Choi Han visits is located.

The problem is that Choi Han becomes twisted after that village, and everyone in it, are destroyed by assassins.

The bigger problem is the fact that this stupid trash who I’ve become doesn’t know about what happened in the village and messes with Choi Han, only to get beaten to a pulp.

“…This is going to be a problem.”

I feel like something serious has happened to me.

But it was worth trying to make this my new life.

Hi guys i want to ask if i should read manhwa first or go straight to the novel? I'm afraid i might miss some details if i read manhwa

If there is manhwa/manhwa/manga and novel at the same time, I always choose the novel as it explains and introduce things deeply more. I only go to its manhwa/manhua/manga adaptation for their character (facial features, erc.) reference for better imagination 😅

Wow idk if i'm just stupid to not think of what u said but i feel like a whole new concept is opening before my eyes. Usually i would go to manhwa and see their faces first before reading novel so that i can better enhance my imagination. But to read novel first instead is like a completely different concept from before. I don't think i can explain how difference it's tho. Anyways thanks man

I have a question. It is said that Choi Ham spent several years in the dark forest and he is at least as old as Ron. But his behavior is not that of an old man. Is it because his body did not age and he did not notice, or because he was completely isolated from society and did not notice the passage of time properly? Maybe both, or something else? Like his mind ages along with his physical body.

I think it's bcs different from ron who aged around ppl who treated him as an older, Choi han spent his time alone and the last time he was around ppl was when he's 17 year old, and even when he found harris village and live there, ppl treated him like a usual teen, so i think it's bcs of that cuz nobody knows his real age so yeah..

Finally, after four years, I have successfully erased this novel from my memory. I can now enjoy this novel again as if it's my first time reading it.

I have reached 107 chap and until now it has been great. But now he just gets whatever he wants, literally every powerful being in this universe licks his *ss and he became a billionaire in just a few months, and even though he said he would stay out of attention he goes around and almost made acquaintance with every nation and their powerhouses. He deviates from his original purpose even though he still acts like he has not. This mc's whole point was to stay away from conflicts and attention in the most efficient way and I know the author especially put mc in those situations where doesn't have any other way possible but a person that wants to have a low profile would not go this far. If he would have character development and somehow change his priorities maybe I would read more but for now, his actions do not overlap with his character.

Dear i think that's actually the true form of life ... in life not everything goes the way a person wants . And also if you read more you will come to know the mc's experience in life and understand how this kind of thinking and personality has been made . I actually quite admire him , you know this kind of life usually makes villains not heroes . Ooops i talked a lot sorry i just wanted to tell that read it for yourself completely then decide 🤗

He wishes a lazy and peaceful life, but Cale has a very strong sense of justice. He will do what he thinks is right, he will save people, fight against the "villains", he will protect those he cares about. He can't see someone suffering and do nothing to help. That's why I like him so much. His actions are not contrary to his character, it's the opposite. Living a quiet and lazy life is. You will realize this the more you read the story.

That's the thing, he says(and genuinely believe)he will do anything to be low key, but in fact he will do anything to do what he thinks is right, and protect the people dear to him.

characters make no sense and become way to trusting of MC for no reason. Story is legit the most generic thing you will read but without the harem most stories like these have. Story is completely aimless it never really goes anywhere. I get why its highly rated since a lot of people just want to read the same thing their used to but i like different stuff

That’s your own opinion, I think there are some plot holes and inconsistencies with the verse but regardless of that I really love this novel. You could criticize the pacing or some minor plot fall outs but there’s also a lot of things to love about it! It just depends on your taste lolol.

I’m an immature action book reader. Loving shadowslave, just tried LotM and got to ch40 but dropped since it had too little action even though it was well written (ik people are saying more fighting by ch250 but that’s a long time!). Based on that would you recommend this novel for someone like me? Edit: started reading it, I like it already. Def a lot easier to read than LotM. Reminds me of ORV, so far great

Hello. I require a favor. A kind soul to explain to me everything about Naru Von Ejellan. He is canon, appears a lot, is important to the plot, when he does appear. Anything important like that, you know? Even some little things about him. Just a curiosity here. Will you tell me if you continued reading or not?

Naru isn't real. Duke Frodo has a magic item that reverts him back to how he looked when he was a child, and that child version of himself is Naru. Frodo keeps up the lie that Naru is his son so that he can disguise himself as Naru for reconnaissance. Frodo temporarily lends Cale that magic item so Cale can sneak into Endable disguised as Naru. Naru is only really relevant in the arc where Cale is in Endable. After that arc ends, Naru only ever shows up one other time when Cale briefly disguises himself as Naru again when he and On are kidnapping a king at a school. Despite Naru not being a real character, Frodo did thoroughly flesh out Naru's persona to make the lie more believable. Naru is a very sweet boy who is polite, compassionate, and loved by everyone. He gets sick easily and is weak, and therefore spends most of his time in a remote villa for his health (to explain why Naru's not always at Frodo's estate).

What? How? It doesn't matter, he's definitely an important character. Too bad, it's a good novel, but I'll have to stop here. NO! I found another way. I still need to accept it completely, but I will get there.
