It really isn't bad, I just can't get behind the motivations and thought processes of the MC and most of the background characters. Basically it's mediocre decisions followed by bad ones, followed by plot armor. A seemingly unending cycle of tension and anxiety. Not good for a binge reading session. That's the worst part though, everything else is stellar. . . although as usual the romance stuff is uninteresting and constantly teased out. Nothing new on that front to be honest. Plenty of drama (too much for me to stomach) and plenty of plot twists. No plot holes big enough to give brain rot and decent continuity between story archs. All in all it's much, MUCH better than the usual drivel you find in 90% of the related genre but I ruined it for myself by cramming the first 300ish chapters in a couple days and giving myself a panic attack from all the excess angst in this novel. You've been warned.

Chapter 80. Can't continue. It's a good read if you love action and want to turn off your brain. The author really needs to take a breathe because there's non-stop chasing and action, and decisions are kinda. . random. The story reads as if you sat your friend in front of you, and started making up a plot and characters as you go. It is very exciting writing and lots of gore. 3. 5-4 stars from me.

Probably the best book I've read on this site, up there in my all time favorites. Everything from the world building to character development is top notch. I especially liked how a lot of characters remained relevant till the end. Would definitely recommend

I wouldn’t really recommend this to any of my friends so I can’t give it a good rating. Yes, the beginning looks very promising - Most the 5star ratings here are from early chapters as well, but the protagonist is just a huge flaw in this story - a detrimental I‘d argue. He is just so naive, dumb and unlogical. At times a huge pushover. I had to drop halfway through.

One of the best novels on this site, it deserves a solid 5 star rating. There is no lack of good books on this site, but this one is definitely up there with legends such as Shadow Slave and Lord of the Mysteries.

One of the best novels I've read. Well-built world, progressive power escalation, well-built script, captivating secondary characters, diverse types of powers, and a different power device than we are used to. Many complain about the MC's actions in the first hundred chapters, but forget that he is a kid, and how f*ck*d up the world he is in is. In short, I loved the Romance. If there's anything I would criticize, it's only in the last few chapters, where the scale of power is very absurd, in relation to the original context. But that doesn't spoil the reading at all.

A superb read I enjoyed it very much, the open end is a bit confusing, The secondary characters are really endearing. The mc is pretty simple but not in a bad way I recommend this book to everyone who like science fiction

One of the best web novels I've ever read—definitely an underrated gem. Firstly, I love the unique world-building and characters. The story doesn't feel rushed either. If you are bored of the usual magic, system, and cultivation genre, then this novel is definitely for you. The scenarios are easy to imagine and immersive. The protagonist's journey is pretty well portrayed, how he started from the absolute bottom and reached the absolute top. There is no forced plot and everything seems to be adequately explained (well you might feel like the mc is getting too much plot armor in the earlier chapters but there's a reason for that too, explained near the endings so be patient with it). There is some romance scene in the novel in the last few hundred chapters as well (if you want some romance scenes). The story keeps you hooked from the beginning and the ending is one of the best ones I've seen in a web novel—definitely a 10/10. I don't usually write reviews but went out of my way to write reviews for this one. I wish this novel would get the recognition it deserves.

This is a masterpiece!!! A true work of art!
If you are fortunate enough to see this review, I explore you to read this novel. I expect if you probably prefer fantasy genres with a modern setting then this novel will suit your tastes.

The plot keeps you ingrained and wanting more. A lot of plot twists that blow your mind and action that keeps you on your toes, I mean what’s not to like. The comedic aspect while not largely present still presents enough for a good laugh to ease tensions. From a tragedy rises a hero. The story is more relatable to current times with more research into scientific topics especially physics mostly quantum and also biology which is evident in the story and it does this while not loosing the feel for mystery and fantasy.
A perfect blend!
Definitely recommend 👌🏾

One of the best Chinese fictions I've read. It just hooks you with the plot, mystery, and settings right from the start. After that it creates a world of believable and fleshed out people and superpowers, with grotesque antagonists. All of the details, both the disgusting tidbits and the wonderous descriptions immersed me fully into the narrative.

A work of art.
