If you're planning to read this novel it's kind of like a slice if life type of novel. Also so far there's only been one female lead so it's not a harem. Yet

I’m at chapter 182. To continue, I’m going to need some more plot or intrigue. I don’t find the action alone entertaining enough. Anything significant happen in the next 50 - 100 chapters? Mild spoilers are fine. Thx

I noticed that this novel is slow( not a bad thing). Does he graduate/ get out of the academy and explore the world?

No, only at the beginning he stays in the gym because he is very weak, but slowly he starts to explore the world, don't think this will be a gym novel because the last thing this MC does is stay in the gym. v:

This novel is so relaxing and wholesome to read that doing war crimes is part of the slice of life. It's like they obliterated someone and display their enemies heads on a pike to the other enemies and the next second. Wholesome stuff happens. It's so absurd it's kinda relaxing in a weird way.

"First of all, there's no harem or R-18, no romance or exchange of human affection. The MC only has an intimate relationship around chapter 440, even though he's slept with the girl countless times in the same bed. His parents aren’t even mentioned; sometimes you wonder if they're still working in the mines. The story moves so slowly that you can’t tell if you're just bored or if the author is delaying the plot because it's so monotonous. Fun friendship interactions are only between him and the beasts in his mind; the rest don’t even talk. He’s apparently guided by the gods, so no bad character comes within 100 kilometers of him. There are no wars, everything is just friendly with his allies. I'm tired, boss."

I’m pretty sure like 1/3 of the book is on the war between the humans and the giants? The rest is pretty spot on

I've read up to 450 chapters and I personally do have problems with this story. I really tried to go on because I really, really love beast taming sort of story. I'm a huge pokemon fan. So I don't have any problems if the intention of the author is to write a good nice story kind of environment in this world. BUT, there is problem with the way it's written. It feels very conflicting and hypocritical, no, it's not the world building, the world is naturally conflicting even in our reality as there are tons of hypocritical people. But in this case, it's more like there's actually tons of terrible people and underlying tone of people in this story that aren't good people and the fact that the MC of our story somehow always seems to subconsciously ignore this or their action and move merrily with his life. I don't expect him to be a saint and do something about it but the fact that he barely acknowledge the fact made me wonder what kind of mc is the author trying to write.
