yes your right fang yuan is not trying to achieve greatness, but he is only trying to achieve eternal life because its something that is possible but it was deemed impossible by others. It depends really It depends on if this flaw appear from his first life or in his second life If it is in his first life , so it just like what happened in the story, he will just expression more hardship than before and become somewhat more relyed on scheming that he is now , after all with a flaw like that just must always be vary of everyone But if it appears in his second life , then that is a problem And I think fang yuan is willing enough to even cut his tongue himself Of course I don't that can work to stop this flaw or anything But is must say fang yuan is really ruthless with himself too so you must consider that he can go to a extreme for stopping this flaw even for a second to fulfill his plans And it is not like fang yuan just chosen to be a chess piece because he is a otherworldly demon It is not just because of that , but because no one is more suitable than fang yuan It is because his demonic nature, something that other Otherworldly demon didn't have

I understand and know that. There are no suitable candidate other then him after all. So there can probably be two situations, Spectral soul succeeding and not giving heavenly court the chance. Not really actually, that flaw of not be able to lying isn't really gonna effect on great scheme of things I don't know Sunny's flaw had other effect but if you think about it not lying not gonna really effect on the great scheme and vens plan as well as hw plan if you think about it Specially if fang yuan know his own flaw , not one gonna go directly act, you have any rank 6 gu in your apretur? If fang yuan was a righteous path it really could have had great disadvantage for him But don't forget, a demonic path gu master life isn't like a righteous path Demonic path gu masters upon seeing each other wont seat and talk , they attack to kill each other And even if fang yuan want to infiltrate somewhere like shang clan in volume two, I think he is clever enough to not reveal his flaw or kinda dodge the others question I mean sunny can do that , with giving correct but vague answers ( at least in almost 200 chapters that I read)

Thing is, the flaw forces someone to answer a q truthfully, if he doesn't do that, he will die. The flaw doesn't care if you have no mouth. Sunny doesn't actively decieve and scheme against someone like Fang Yuan does. With his brain, he would have still survived. But completely deceiving Lang Ya spirit, infiltrating tang clan, taking the easy way out would have been impossible. Even at the first plot of receiving that rank 5 demon's inheritance, he had no other choice to kill that merchant guy. If he had this flaw when he was interrogated, he would have died. Even escaping from a rank 4 had extremely low possibility for that him. Essence is that he has to lay low unlike before, losing an essential part of scheming ability

Yeah but you can say before getting sovereign body, that flaw wouldn't be that much of problem ( if fang yuan isn't an *d**t to do obvious mistake that we know he isn't) because... Thing's gonna become really harder for fang yuan because, he can't do a lot of stuff simply because he can't lie But still he can be more ... Forceful using force And ah about all that the flaw of sunny isn't that he can't lie but he can't answer a lie in the face of a question from people, a I right? If it is like that fang yuan still could have a lot of space for scheming and infiltrating here and there ( of course obviously very harder than)
