A while back I stopped reading around chapter 144 does the story get better/focus less on romance?
After reading up to Chapter 211 (latest)... I absolutely loved this novel! Of course, the beginning smelled like it would be a generic OP protagonist story, but the later chapters do a very good job of keeping the OPness and still making the story interesting. There was a Lovecraftian flair to the whole concept, but the "corrupted information leading to brain explosion" cliche didn't appear here, so I'm very happy. World building is top-notch, battle scenes are nicely done, each of the nine faiths/Gods are well thought out and have a deep backstory behind them. Plus, I hate Chinese cultivation novels with repeated young master annoyances, so this was the only great novel among the recent additions (including the English originals), so I'm giving it a full 5-stars after comparing its competitors.
Is this any good? Compare it to Shadow Slave, The Begining after the End, or Supreme Magus please! I am looking for a new novel to read that doesn't have a spoon fed Protagonist like other novels.

Seems promising, base concept is nothing new so far no harem. the plot is nice but not a lot of info on mc before his reincarnation, possibly on purpose, but makes mc feel like he has no depth. Power system is absolutely wacked, you'll realize it when your about 150 chaps around there, not a lot of explanations for his power. However not as ridiculous as becoming op in a day due to some BS reason. Overall a A to S- tier novel (based on current chaps) Defi a reccomand Edit: Never knew tentacle was a tag outside of p**n 💀

as of chapter 211 It is a good-great novel,its not like a masterpiece but its good,its not average its good,thats all The only problem i have with this is that the translation gets a bit messy sometimes,not like gigantic errors like characters having different names that are too far from their original name,no,its more like errors in the pronouns of certain characters,thoughts being displayed as if its dialogue (with a "" and not a ')and vice versa I like the characters,i wouldnt say they have god level of writing but they are good enough;the action is good;the romance(as of chapter 211) is lowkey *ss and considering how this novel is im not sure if its gonna get better soon,but i have hopes;the worldbuilding is good,or at least good enough,i like the different religions this world has and their characteristics

The translation is confusing sometimes and there’s no clear indication of the MC’s moral alignment. Other than those two things I think it’s pretty good tho
