If you're in need of a kingdom-building novel and don't mind MTL, I highly recommend "我在法兰西当王太子" (I am the Dauphin of France). Similar to "Holy Roman Empire," but much better overall.

How much long until this gets completed? I heard new chapters comes very slowly and i don't want to wait for them, would much rather wait until it gets finished.

Cependant.

The synopsis set the bar very high, let's see how it goes. Random data: The latest Indiana Jones movie (SPOILER) Travel to the past and it's very entertaining and fresh to watch how the characters react when they arrive at a historical war from the past. This is similar and I hope it gives me the same feeling. I also pray that one day there will be a movie or series like this, where the protagonist sees and interacts with the greatest minds in the world

Unfortunately the lastest Indiana Jones movie was ruined by political b*llsh*t. 😭

How? I don't understand, because it was ruined by something political, I saw the movie and I loved it, I didn't see anything political, maybe I skipped it, but it still must have been insignificant to pass it without realizing it

Update to my comment below: "Rome Must Fall" was picked up by "Gemnovels," with 35 chapters currently translated. As I have caught up with the raws (chapter 192), in my opinion, the novel is great. The author has learned from his mistakes, and the characters are now much better written, with the MC being the biggest beneficiary. From the start, the MC is surrounding himself with knowledgeable and experienced people and actively learning from them. Battles are engaging to read, with historically accurate tactics. For now, the MC's army is completely based on Roman legions, but there are signs that it's going to diversify (hopefully, it will be like the Byzantine Empire with super heavy cataphracts). There are more Chinese accents this time (probably because Chinese readers insisted), like the MC's faction flag being an eastern dragon or the government being inspired by the Qing Dynasty. All in all, it's probably going to be one of the best kingdom-building novels out there.

The novel has some of the best kingdom building I've read. An important point must be taken into account, the protagonist, although he comes from the future, is not a super engineer or a metallurgist or those types of professions related to technology. The mc is simply a good administrator and strategist. For that reason, don't expect the development of electricity, muskets or other explosive things in this novel. The relationships between the characters are well built, there is a strong development of the secondary characters, their families and the ties of brotherhood are very important in the story. As for romance, the novel doesn't focus much on that aspect so don't expect anything very strong in that regard. Only in the MC's first relationship is the best romantic subsection seen, in the second it is a bit poor. This is all I can say thanks to the limited number of characters available (death to >1000)

For anyone interested, the author just started writing a new novel, "罗马必须亡" (Rome Must Fall), that takes place during the Spartacus rebellion.

When it gets translated fully I would be there to read it. But I also want him to write one on magic. Because I feel he would slay it.
