One of the best novels I ever read. And the only Mao Ni novel I ever completed other than Zi Tian Ji. Loved it from beginning to end the plot twists and the character have immense depth with the character of Fan Xian. Though I have to stress on the point that it is a slow read. The only problem this novel has is that similar to most of Mao Ni's story are like this. He keeps edgeing and edging and edging and then leaves you blue-balled. ðŸ˜

Amazing. I started from modern narrating, dived in feudal system and finally pop up from far future after apocalypses. I guess this is quit mature composition. It doesn't matter how old are you but the older the better. The life journey of hero is wondrous. You are reading this like savoring the life, just joying the life. Main hero Fan Xiao is unbelievable. So many exciting moments, sometimes fanny, sometimes very tense. Thank you Mao Ni for this novel.

A true masterpiece. I couldn’t stop reading. As a woman, I found the male focus a bit hard to take at times, but I just went with the flow! After loving the Joy of Life drama, I am not sure I can watch any more due to the changes they made from the original novel. I guess I probably will though!
The problem is that the first part of the drama does not follow the book, so the ending of the drama does not happen in the book. Basically, without giving too much away, the drama ends when he is coming back from the North after dropping off the two people and sorting out a few things.
Can u tell me where the drama ends with respect to the novel. Just completed the novel recently and just can’t get enough
