Stopped reading on ch 23. The premise, story, characters, everything is fine and quite interesting, but the translation quality just ruins it. It's so basic that you can get the general idea, but the context is missing and there is zero reading between the lines. It feels like watching a movie in 240p or playing a game running 20fps - can you do it? Sure, but it's such a degraded experience that it feels like a waste. I'll better put this down until it gets a proper translation, not this watered down beer version.
Be advised, there's quite a few missing, duplicate or misordered chapters in this one. I don't think it will ever get fixed so just read a few chapters and if it's to your liking, then look it up elsewhere

I tried to read this novel for two reasons, 1st because it has few chapters, 2nd because my three favorite novels are by this author, and honestly this novel was pretty boring, it didn't have the same impact as his other novels, my opinion of course
