Chapter 1257: Where Did I Go Wrong?

Feeling this terrifying divine sense, both Su Wuhan and the demonic cultivator he had been conversing with only a short time ago began to shiver in fear. Freezing at the spot as they looked in the direction of the terrifying divine sense where they could see Xuan Hao's figure standing in the air with the winged lion demon beast floating next to him.

"Impossible! How is there an Earth Immortal is here already!? Shouldn't the Blue Sea Empire at least take another half year before the meeting between them, and the rest of the major power conclude!?" Seeing this, the demonic cultivator who had been full of confidence when talking to Su Wuhan only seconds earlier, could not help yelling in disbelief. Not understanding how someone in the Earth Immortal Realm had suddenly appeared outside the core region of the continent.

If not for the fact that he had been told beforehand that no Earth Immortals would appear during this trip to the forefront of the battlefield between the demonic cultivators and the surrounding empires bordering the Frozen Wasteland, he would have never dared to take on the task from his sect to talk with Su Wuhan.

Even if it was something directly ordered by an elder of his sect, he would have never gone out if there was a chance of him running into someone in the Earth Immortal Realm, as he understood just how low his chance of survival was in case something like that happened.

At the very least, even if he went against the orders of an elder, he would be able to keep his life given his high cultivation and the fact that he had the backing of an elder from the sect who could at least help chose someone other than him for the task.

I have to escape!

Knowing that every second that passed would lower his chances of survival, the demonic cultivator who was the furthest away from the borders of the Star Shattering Sect wasted no time as he took out a teleportation talisman and shattered it. Instantly causing the spatial forces around him to start twisting violently before swallowing him up.

Although it was of a rather low quality considering that the elder behind him wasn't willing to waste any of his more precious treasure for escaping, it was still more than strong enough to help him escape from someone in the Earth Immortal Realm as long as it activated-

"No, you don't!"

However, before the demonic cultivator could let out a sigh of relief after he successfully entered the spatial passage, a terrifying force suddenly seemed to grab hold of the spatial passage and forcefully pull it-

And before the demonic cultivator had the time to understand what was happening, the spatial passage broke under the terrifying force before the terrifying force descended upon him.

"Half… Half Bloom Stage… Proficient in… Dao of Space!"

Only able to barely mutter these words to himself as he was crushed by the terrifying force, the demonic cultivator's eyes were filled with terror as he died without any chance to resist.

The only sign left behind by what took place in the spatial passage being a rather large crack on the spatial fabrics of the world that were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

After another week or two, it would completely disappear. Leaving behind no trace of the demonic cultivator that had tragically died without any chance to fight back.

However, the crack caused by Xuan Hao using his power to forcibly grab and rip apart the spatial passage had still allowed the winged lion demon beast and Su Wuhan to see the tragic death of the demonic cultivator.

Making one swear to never anger his master, while the other began shivering even more.

Knowing that he was going to face a similar fate very soon.

"S-senior, I-I actually didn't want to be a demonic cultivator…"

And with that in mind, he decided to try his best to convince Xuan Hao not to kill.

"Oh? Really? Did you just happen to accidentally practice demonic techniques and just happened to show up here to attack my sect against your will?" Appearing directly in front of Su Wuhan, Xuan Hao could not help rolling his eyes as he said this. Not believing a single bit of what Su Wuhan said, as he understood very well that someone didn't just accidentally end up reaching the True Demon Realm.

Maybe if Su Wuhan was only at the First Demonic Transformation Realm, it would have been believable considering he had been at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm before, but reaching the True Demon Realm in a period of a few short years? Only by devouring and slaughtering countless people could something like that be accomplished.

To be honest, even Xuan Hao was a bit taken aback by just how fast Su Wuhan's cultivation had managed to increase. Especially considering that he hadn't heard or seen anything special or outstanding about him when he had been the king of the Azure Sky Kingdom.

"This… I-I just happened to find a blood pill that rapidly increased my cultivation realm and… And the reason for attacking you sect is due to orders from stronger demonic cultivators who placed a restriction on me that will kill me if I don't do so!"

"Oh? Under orders from someone?" Hearing what Su Wuhan said, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes "Do tell me about it and I might spare you." Not intending to let go of an opportunity to learn more about what the powerful demonic cultivators were planning.

Outside of that he also used his divine sense to confirm that there was indeed some kind of restriction created by someone with at least Dao Seed Realm level strength placed on Su Wuhan.

"Ehm… This…" Feeling the divine sense that seemed to peer through his entire being, Su Wuhan could not help feeling grateful for the restriction that had been left by the powerful Demon Lord, while at the same time hesitating on what to say in response to Xuan Hao's question.

Although he did indeed manage to learn a bit about the plans of the stronger demonic cultivators considering he had been someone close at the Third Demonic Transformation Realm before the flood of demonic cultivators took place, he didn't have any real information on the plans of those powerful demonic cultivators.

The only real information he had should already be known among the different major powers. If not, it would have been impossible for a little guy like him to learn about it.

"Stop hesitating or I will just kill you, out with it."

"Ye-yes! From what information I managed to gather about the current situation so far, the different Demon Lords of the Frozen Wasteland seems to be working at the behest of the Frozen Wasteland Demon King that awakened recently.

Not just that, but I also learnt that the other Demon Kings have made similar moves recently. Working in tandem with the Frozen Wasteland Demon King to push the weaker demonic cultivators out and into the kingdoms and empires bordering their territories…"

Finished describing what little he knew about the current situation; Su Wuhan could not help nervously glancing up at Xuan Hao standing directly in front of him. Hoping that the Earth Immortal in front of him hadn't learnt about the information yet.

Demon King… An entity comparable to a Celestial Immortal… So, the recent surge in demonic cultivators is due to a combined effort by different Demon Kings that recently awakened?

Luckily for Su Wuhan, Xuan Hao had no idea about this as someone not aligned with any of the major powers at the core of the continent. Only aware of the fact that the Demon King Realm symbolized the demonic cultivators equivalent to the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Should I use this guy? Maybe I can have him discreetly gather more information about the situation for me so I can make sure that the Star Shattering Sect is prepared. At the same time, I would also be able to have him warn the sect in case another powerful demonic cultivator appears…

Unfortunately for Su Wuhan, Xuan Hao had no intentions of letting him go and instead began thinking about ways to use him. Not just for information gathering, but also an early warning system against powerful demonic cultivators heading towards the Star Shattering Sect's territory.

"Hehe, from now on, you will serve as the Star Shattering Sect's eyes among the demonic cultivators~"

Not knowing what to say as he had turned from one person's puppet to another's, Su Wuhan could only blankly stare into the distance as he helplessly nodded his head. Not knowing where he had gone wrong in life to end up in his current situation.

But then again, at least he was still alive…
