Summary

I was reincarnated into the world of a novel I’d only read the free chapters.

Thankfully, the blood flowing in the body of the person I’d possessed was blue.

“The prominence of our family comes from the blessing bestowed upon us by the royal family throughout the generations.”

Maybe this is the price to pay for that. But I got a father who seems overly loyal to the Emperor. And because of that, I was forced to become a Civil Servant.

While everyone else enjoys romance, I’m just spending my days as a Civil Servant.

My version of the summary(・∀・): OP civil servant got godly rizz but is too traumatized by war to care and only wants to retire asap due to overwork.

Did you know guys that this novel initial plot of him watching over important figures(i dont know if this novel was first to implement this or not) made this background setting popular just like "the novel extra" made transmigration into novel become more popular

The overall story and plot is good, but it's very hard to understand I don't know if it due to translation or just authors mistake

If this is hard to understand a children book must be as hard as a university level quantum theory book

if you think this writing is normal then you are either too stupid to notice (no offense intended) or you read in 4D, because the writing is all over the place, the POVs switch randomly without notice, and most of the time you don't even know who is talking and to whom, and thoughts sound like dialogue while dialogue sounds like thoughts.

People can read horribly translated xuan huan novels without even flinching. At this level It should be easy to understand. About the POV switching sure I might be confuse when it first switch but I would instantly know who it was base on their tone and what they say since every character is unique. Its not that hard. Gimme a decently long dialogue from any chapter and I will try to guess who it is

Of course you can understand who is talking eventually if you try to understand hard enough, but that's the problem, it shouldn't be hard at all, you should never have to search to understand what's going on, you should be able to understand everything as you are reading because pausing every few Paragraphs to try to understand what's going on breaks the immersion, and that is a bad sign in a book.

Op probably meant that the writing or the translation doesn't flow well. I kinda agree with him too, the writing style is very repetitive(not talking about the plot, just grammar and vocabulary usage in general), it isn't the kind that would immerse you and makes you appreciate the book. Futhermore the POV itself is portrayed from first person, which makes the world around harder to illustrate without sufficient information and descriptions thrown towards us. Sometimes, we may have to go another mile and reference from different content from the internet to properly structure what kind of expressions the characters were making due to the writing style and the lack of information it provides.

True, the thing that made me love this novel more IS the switch in POVs

It reads like a korean webtoon that has too many closeups without showing the background. Extraordinarily difficult to read when it's primarily disembodied voices talking in a blank void half the time before zooming out on the setting half a notch. If you've never read a better novel with a similar style, then this just reads like a collection of thoughts you're eavesdropping on with very limited context. You will find yourself actually understanding things as simple as ordinary dialogue and interactions between characters only after you've read additional chapters because there's less than necessary context clues already written. The translation also has weird gender errors throughout that add onto the confusion.

What the living f*ck are you on? Some authors intentionally leave descriptions of characters blank so you can imagine them yourself. Also, use your head. They are at a school, picture a school and not some void. It barely affects anything… The gender mistakes are so light compared to an actual bad translation, which change names and locations. It is a minor inconvenience…
