Another good read, not quite a light heart reading overall and I don't like cliff hanger ending but it is a good read to pass the time. I don't like the thrill written so I have to constantly remind myself that the protagonist has a plot armor lol If you are looking to pass the time with none complicated reading, this novel can be one of your choice. It is not like pokemon at all. It leans towards Wuxia which is not a bad thing. Good world building and stable plotting. Exciting in the beginning boring in the middle and towards ending. The creativity written in this novel is very interesting because our concepts that haven't found in other novel and it keep on with the story of the story progress so that is a very consistent creation of the story core. The ending is kind of as expected but not as satisfying for me reading this because we have followed the protagonist for a long time and ask the story progress to the end we want to see the protagonist happiness.
Now I understand comics (manhua, manhwa, or manga) are more popular than novels. Most of the comics are funnier than novels. In novels, they create no solid characters except the MC. All are just cannon fodder. Some characters are mentioned at least for 100 chapters, but later they are all forgotten. This goes in each arc. But when reading comics, you always laugh and forget other characters, but in novels, it's hard to forget because you are reading them for at least 100 chapters. They don't create strong characters except for the MC. Only the choice is to like the MC. That's why I think western novels are more popular than Asian novels. My fav novel Return of Mount Hua Sect Myst Mayhem Might

The manhua and the novel diverges significantly from each other. If you have read the manhua and are here to continue I HIGHLY recommend you read from the start. There are certain plot lines that are significantly different from the manhua. Do keep in mind, both adaptations are exceptional. I highly recommend you read both of them as they are a similar enough to enjoy both yet different enough to be a breath of fresh air. Now the actual plot for the NOVEL... I have to say that some things are very quickly forgotten and there are fillers. HOWEVER, Naruto was pretty much 80% filler and it was enjoyable. This is the same. The filler is alright but not the best. You will 100% enjoy reading this novel if you enjoy : face slapping, cultivation(kind of. It is more akin to a power system), OP mc and pets (obviously. It is much better than most pet novels imo. Like pokemon with cultivation basically). Admin ban soon cuz I said there are pets without spoiler tag.
for those planning on reading this: just don't all of the characters are bland or arrogant, and leave much to be desired, while the MC is a borderline psychopath who'll kill people not related to his problems. The MC also "for some reason" (and I say this sarcastically, hence the quotes) does not kill any female character who offends him, and captures them instead, which is why this book has the Sl*v* H*r*m tag I guess. I haven't reached a high enough chapter to say he does anything with them but I wouldn't doubt it if he does. finally, this book seems to lack a main goal/purpose. the MC just gets stronger to get stronger and beats stronger guys who dislike him for no reason: like what's the point? overall it's a terrible read and not worth it: don't listen to some of those other people who seem to like this book
