anyone know if around when the MC gets less overly dramatic with his depression? Also, are flash backs common in this story? I normally read around 30% of the story to see if it gets better but im 10 chapters in and i cant stop cringing

Some guys in the reviews got dislikes for saying the novel is good?? Tf dudes? People have preference, it ain't even like they said it is better then that x novel. 😑 So what I understand from the poison testers is that this novel is mostly focused on depression of the characters and good at that, not in other things though. Welp, that's natural after looking at the title.

Ima go ahead and stop where I’m at, since I only have like 10 chapters left until I’m caught up. 7.7/10. Pretty good fights, the mc is very sad, the side characters are kinda meh, the system is a dem like usual, and there is some potential for interesting mysteries. The worldbuilding is just about nonexistent. The pacing is weird, and has timeskips even during fights. There pretty much isn’t any romance so far. The emotions are just thrown into your face, and the characters aren’t realistic. But even with that, the author tries to blend sadness with happiness, and I think it’s done decently well. Again, there is a lot of potential with certain mysteries. But if they don’t live up to that potential, I’m going to go ahead and say this story has pretty mid writing. It may be cringe and edgy at times, but at least it isn’t boring.

It’s crazy that just as we’re getting out of the very extra, heavy, and sad parts of the book, there are people in the comment section of 118.1 saying “I want the sad part back, this is too happy! It’s the only reason I’m reading this!” I am pretty conflicted on this story. I think it’s pretty good, but to stop myself from typing paragraphs, I’ll just say this story is very, very extra at times. It’s not very grounded/realistic emotion-wise. Still, it’s the author’s first book, so I don’t wanna hate.

It's a very emotionally deep novel, one that expresses emotions very well. But it isn't all that good with dialogue. I loved the interactions between characters, and I loved the depictions of depression the MC had. I think the author had it right when he was writing the MC. And now that his depression is somewhat cured, I want to see more development.

If it wasn’t apparent already from the mind break and suicide tag, be warned that it gets very apparent at one point in the story. I would put a spoiler tag on this, but I don’t think I need to, and it would probably just make people not look at my comment.
